FANS of musicals can look forward to the event of the season as Cole Porter's timeless classic, High Society, skips into town. In a dazzling new production from the acclaimed producers of The King and I, Michael Praed (Robin of Sherwood & The Sound of Music) stars as Dexter Haven, while Daniel Boys (Any Dream Will Do) is Mike Connor and Sophie Bould stars as Tracy Lord.
High Society is the tale of wealthy socialite, Tracy, who is in the midst of planning a lavish summer wedding when her ex-husband Dexter, turns up to disrupt proceedings in an attempt to try and win her back.
Further chaos ensues when reporter Mike Connor falls instantly for Tracy, and she for him.
As the day of the wedding draws ever closer, we're left guessing which groom the bride will choose!
Adapted from the hit 1956 film, which starred screen legends Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra, High Society features a host of beautiful ballads, including; "True Love", "You're Sensational", "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and the unforgettable, "Well, Did you Evah!" The Gazette Series has two pairs of tickets to give away to our readers to see this sparkling production at Glasgow's King's Theatre at 7.30pm on Wednesday May 1.
