A Scottish stag do held up a flight from Prague to Glasgow for more than two hours yesterday.

The group of 25 men had to be removed from the plane because of drunken behaviour, before it could take off from Prague International Airport, reports the Evening Times.

Airline staff said they were left with no choice but to call police to offload the passengers "due to their offensive attitude and continued use of foul and abusive language".

The delay left other holidaymakers, including some families with young children, furious.

Jet2.com boss Phil Ward said a number of passengers were concerned about the unruly group's behaviour.

He said: "Our Onboard Together initiative supports our crew to take appropriate action to stamp out disruptive passenger behaviour on our flights, in order to protect both customers and fellow colleagues.

"Many of our customers on this flight were concerned about the group’s behaviour which is why we took decisive action to stop them from travelling.

"We will not let an unruly few stop people from having an enjoyable flight experience.”

The flight was due to get back to Glasgow Airport at around 10:20pm but didn't land until well after midnight.
