RECORD Store Day had music fans spinning right round at Paisley’s Apollo Records shop.
The national event celebrates independent record stores up and down the country, which are becoming increasingly rare.
Apollo Records at Causeyside Street cranked up the celebrations as they hosted the annual event for their ninth year.
Dedicated customers queued up in the cold from 4am for the 9am opening to get their hands on exclusive items.
Owner Mike Dillon said: “The day was very successful, we had special discs and one off pressings for collectors.
“There is a big demand from people who want a big collection.
“The shop was busy all day and there was a great buzz as it should be.
“Record stores were the centre of the community years ago so it was great to see this again.
“There was great camaraderie in the queue too as people remembered each other from before.”
Apollo Records has been alive in Paisley for 30 years and is the last record store standing in the area.
The store originally opened in Johnstone Street, Paisley in 1986 before moving to its current location in 1990.
Mike’s love for music started when he was a young child listening to pirate stations on the radio in the 60s.
He was awed by the likes of the Beatles and soul music at the time and his passion has stayed with him since.
Mike said: “We have our finger on the pulse and we look after our customers.”
