A MAN was left with a serious facial injury after he was subjected to a vicious assault by two men in Renfrew.
The attack on the 33-year-old happened close to the Day-Today shop on Paisley Road at around 8pm on Monday, July 11.
He was walking on his own when the thugs struck.
The first attacker was wearing a short-sleeved grey top and is described as being 5ft 9 inches tall with a shaved head, while the second man is said to be 5ft 7 inches tall with brown hair which is shaved at the sides.
Police Scotland are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Detective constable Alan Curran said: "This appears to have been an unprovoked attack on this man who was left with a serious injury.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have been in the Paisley Road area, near its junction with Porterfield Road, to get in touch with us on the 101 number if they can help."
