TWO men were seriously assaulted by armed thugs at a house in Paisley.
The 34 and 48-year-olds were targeted while in a property at Auchentorlie Quadrant on Saturday at 10.30pm.
The pair attacked them with weapons, causing them both to be hospitalised.
Detective Inspector Sandy Nelson, who is based at Paisley Police station, said: "Two men aged 34 and 48 were seriously assaulted in a house.
"Neither of them are giving us any details of what happened on the night.
"They were the property when two men attended and set about them with weapons.
"The attackers' identities are unknown and there has been no description of what they look like.
"The younger of the two victims received a hit on his head which was treated at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
"The elder one received a puncture wound to his abdomen and right arm, and was also taken to hospital.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything on the night to get in touch via 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
