DETECTIVES investigating an attempted murder in Paisley are appealing for a woman who was at the flat at the time to come forward.
A 48-year-old man was found with serious head injuries at Auchentorlie Quadrant in the Seedhill area of the town on Monday, January 9 at around 8am.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley before being moved to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as “critical”.
Investigations so far have revealed that there was some sort of disturbance within the flat either on Sunday or during the night into Monday morning.
Detective Inspector Sandy Nelson, of Paisley CID said: “Enquiries are still ongoing however we have identified somebody who may have been in area at time of assault that may be able to assist us.
"The woman is described in her mid-twenties and of medium height and build.
"At the time she was wearing a light blue jacket and light coloured woollen hat with a pom pom.
"She could be a witness to this serious assault – I urge that she comes forward to speak to us."
