POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a builder's dumper truck was stolen in Howwood.
It is believed that a lorry carted away the 15-plate Thwaites model, which was being used to transport rubble.
The giant truck worth £15,000 was based at a site in Auchengreoch Road and was taken at some point between January 8 and 10.
Inspector Cassie Glass said: "The truck was being hired out to a company carrying out work at Auchengreoch Road.
"It had been left while the person who was using it went away on holiday.
"We believe that it may have been attached to a lorry or other large vehicle in order to move it.
"Anyone who may have any information on this is asked to call us on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
