A COMMUNITY garden project is looking for new members to help it grow.

The Garden of Dreams, in the Broadloan area of Renfrew, has blossomed since it was launched three years ago.

Now organisers hope to harvest a fresh batch of green-fingered volunteers in time for spring.

Spokeswoman Gillian Grievson said: “As spring starts to make an appearance, with trees coming into bud and spring bulbs starting to flower, gardeners are looking forward and planning what to grow this year.

“Whether it is flowers or veg, people of all ages and abilities can enjoy getting out in the fresh air and doing some gardening.

“If you are looking for a new experience this year and enjoy being part of a community-based, volunteer-run project, why not consider becoming a member of the Garden of Dreams?

“We’ll also have fun events throughout the year for all the family to enjoy.”

The Lottery-funded project provides plots for individuals and community groups in Renfrew.

Membership is open to all sectors of the community, young and old, able bodied and less able, who enjoy gardening.
