STAFF were left shaken after an armed man tried to rob a Paisley bookies.
Police are closing in on the suspect who brandished a weapon at a member of staff during the incident.
This took place at 36 Wellmeadow Street on Friday, April 7 at 9pm.
A 41-year-old woman was working when the man came in demanding the money.
After coming away empty handed he made off from the shop in an unknown direction.
He is described as being aged between 30 to 40-years-old, around 5ft 4in with a skinny build.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey hooded top with a beanie hat underneath.
Police are examining CCTV from the area and are following a positive line of enquiry.
