RENFREWSHIRE South MSP Tom Arthur has officially opened his constituency office.

Fellow SNP politician Derek Mackay, who is Scotland’s Finance Secretary, was there to cut the ribbon in front of a number of constituents and community representatives.

Mr Arthur, whose constituency straddles parts of Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, is delighted with his new office, which is located in Johnstone town centre, close to local transport links.

The office is equipped with a portable ramp for wheelchair or scooter access, as well as an induction loop to provide support for constituents with hearing loss.

Mr Arthur said: “I was delighted to be joined by Derek Mackay and constituents from across Renfrewshire South for the opening of my new office.

“It was a particular pleasure to welcome representatives from local organisations, including the Citizens Advice Bureau.

“I’d like to thank Renfrewshire Access Panel for their support in making sure that my office is accessible for all.

“Constituents are always welcome to drop by during office hours if there are issues they would like to discuss.”
