CHARITY bosses are urging people to use their clutter to help those in need.
An appeal has been launched to encourage families to have a spring clean at home and donate any unwanted items to their local charity shop.
New stock is needed at Barnardo’s stores, including those in Linwood and Barrhead.
The message from Barnardo’s is that your unwanted clutter can be transformed into much-needed cash.
Magdalene Davie, area business manager for Barnardo’s Scotland, said: “Everyone has something at home they no longer use or wear – and you don’t have to feel bad about it anymore.
“Those unused items taking up space at home could be converted into funds to help disadvantaged children and young people.
“By donating your clothes, ornaments, kitchenware, photo frames and much more, you can give them a new lease of life, declutter your home and make a huge difference to others.
“Our stores are a crucial source of funding that’s vital to the charity to support services for vulnerable children, young people and families.”
