THIRTEEN was the lucky number of participants that took part in a daring zipslide for a worthy cause.
The thrillseekers braved an adrenaline-filled flight across the River Clyde on a zipwire, raising funds for St Vincent’s Hospice as they whizzed along.
To date, the event has raised £3,500 for the Howwood-based charity, which relies on donations from members of the public to continue to provide its much-needed services.
And daredevils who missed out this time around can sign up for another St Vincent’s Hospice zipslide taking place on May 13.
Volunteers are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship total of £150.
Meanwhile, the fundraising team at St Vincent’s are busy organising an afternoon tea that will be hosted by River City star Carmen Pieraccini.
This event will also include entertainment from Jerseytones - a Jersey Boys and Overtones tribute band.
Guests are invited along to the Glynhill Hotel, in Renfrew, on Sunday, May 14, from 1.30pm to 5pm.
It costs £28 per person, which includes a sparkling drinks reception.
