YOU’RE never too old to learn, and that’s why the University of the Third Age (U3A) is offering learning opportunities for retired and semi-retired people across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.
U3A provides a platform for learning, not for qualifications but for “the sheer joy of discovery.”
Courses include languages, singing, playing the ukulele, walking the hills, line dancing, reading philosophy, or dozens of other social and learning activities that members want to pursue.
All these activities take place through the day and at the convenience of the members.
Paisley is set to launch sessions next month which will be hosted by the University of the West Of Scotland (UWS).
U3A and UWS are entirely independent of each other but are working together for the benefit of older people in Paisley.
The launch event is the public meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 10 at 2pm at UWS.
