JOBSEEKERS are invited to an information day to find out more about 150 new posts being created in Paisley.
The Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded charities will be hosting a drop-in event at Paisley Town Hall on Saturday, June 3, from 11am to 6pm.
Details will be provided on jobs being created at two new services being constructed for blind people in the town’s Hawkhead Road.
The positions will be shared between Royal Blind’s care home for visually-impaired older people at Jenny’s Well and the Scottish War Blinded’s activity hub for veterans with sight loss.
A range of jobs are being created, from nurses and care workers to domestic staff and drivers.
Davina Shiell, marketing manager for Royal Blind and Scottish War Blinded, said:“There has been a lot of interest in the local community about the jobs that we are creating.
“Our information day will be an opportunity to find out about the exciting new services we will be offering in Paisley and the roles that we will be recruiting for in the lead up to their opening.”
