AN area outside a flat in Paisley was sealed off following an attempted murder.
Police were called to reports of an incident on Seedhill Road on Saturday, July 1 at 9.50pm.
Forensics teams were also seen at the scene outside the flat.
A 19-year-old has been taken to hospital where his condition is being described as critical.
Officers were seen in the early hours of Sunday morning standing guard as enquiries continued.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police were called to Seedhill Road in Paisley at 9.50pm to reports that a man had been assaulted.
"Emergency services attended and a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital.
"This is being treated as attempted murder."
