SWEET-TOOTHED guests got stuck into some tasty treats as a strawberry tea was staged to raise money for church funds.

Members of Inchinnan Parish Church welcomed people of all ages to the mouthwatering event, with a constant supply of home-baked goodies proving popular.

And the fundraising fun provided a welcome boost to the church, with hundreds of pounds being raised.

Those attending tucked into an array of delicious treats, including cakes and scones with jam and cream.

There was also plenty of tea and coffee, plus juice for the youngsters, to ensure that no-one went thirsty.

The event was also a hit with savvy shoppers, who were able to hunt for bargains at the various stalls.

Other money-spinning fun included a raffle and a tombola.

Event organiser Linda Reid said: “It was a very successful day, with everyone enjoying themselves.

“This was a chance for friends and family to get together over a cuppa. Guests enjoyed delicious home baking, with plenty of strawberry treats on offer.

“Members of the church organised it but those outwith the church community attended too.

“It was a great turnout, with older and younger guests attending.

“The stalls and bake sale were a hit and, overall, we managed to raise £600 for church funds.”
