ROADWORKS due to start on the M8 today have been postposed due to the impending arrival of Storm Brian.
Resurfacing works were due to begin between junction 28 and 29 eastbound but these are now set to start tomorrow at 8pm.
Drivers should expect delays of up to 40 minutes and are being urged to plan any journeys with this in mind.
The motorway will be reopened by 6am on Monday as previously intended but a further project will need to be timetabled for additional resurfacing.
This amendment to the plan remains dependent on the weather.
