A JUSTGIVING crowdfunding page was set up to raise money for a well-liked Big Issue seller in Paisley.
Paisley woman Caroline Mclean set up the JustGiving page for the man who is as yet unnamed.
Caroline is hoping to raise a pot of money for the man to use over the winter and Christmas period.
Writing on her page, she said: “I was in Paisley and I observed the happiest, politest Big Issue seller outside M&S that I have ever come across.
“He was so kind and polite and people just put their head down and walked straight by.
“It was a freezing day and he was working so hard to try to make a living.
“He makes £1.25 for every copy sold and in the 20 to 30 minutes I was there he didn’t manage to sell one copy.”
Caroline added: “Let’s try and help those in our community who are trying so hard to better their lives.”
Donors left messages of support on the JustGiving page.
At the time of writing the JustGiving page had reached almost £476 of its £500 target.
