A DRAMA duo are to take their real-life romance onto the stage in a glittering production.

Paisley Musical and Operatic Society (PMOS) performers Claire Logue, 31, from Houston, and Greg Robertson, 26, from Cumbernauld, were thrilled when they were cast opposite one another.

They are set to play characters Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont in Irving Berlin’s Top Hat.

The couple will take on roles played by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the film when PMOS perform at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow in February.

Yet their star-crossed romance will be true to life, as they just got engaged.

Claire said: “We’re returning back to where it all started for us.

“We met in 2009 doing a production at the King’s.

“It’s really special to be cast alongside one another and in such iconic roles.”

Top Hat will be on from Tuesday, February 20, to Saturday, February 28.
