A RECORD number of passengers took to the skies from Glasgow Airport last year, with almost 10 million people passing through the doors.
This represents an annual increase of 5.8 per cent in passenger numbers as the Paisley-based terminal continues to add more destinations.
Last year saw the launch of routes to the likes of Madrid and New York.
Amanda McMillan, the airport’s managing director, said: “To carry more than 9.9 million passengers is a huge achievement and testament to the hard work put in by more than 5,000 people across the airport.”
