SHAMELESS crooks have been breaking into cars in Houston, sparking alarm among residents.
The thieves have been trying the doors and boots of cars parked on Cunningham Gardens in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Residents have claimed that their cars were tried, with items such as sat navs, phones and fishing equipment taken.
Neighbours in surrounding streets also claim that they suffered a break-ins on the same night.
Police have issued a warning to residents to make sure that their car doors are locked.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Overnight on Sunday, February 4 insecure vehicles were entered in Houston.
"Please ensure you secure your vehicles as well as your homes and garages."
