EMERGENCY services have been called to a house fire in Johnstone Castle.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were sent to a property on Willow Drive at around 9am today.
Eyewitnesses also reported a heavy police presence in and around the area.
It is not known yet if the fire was deliberate.
Inspector Cassie Glass, who is based at Johnstone police station said: "There is an ongoing incident at a property at Willow Drive.
"Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue are in attendance after being called to reports of a kitchen fire."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesman added: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.56am on Thursday, March 8 to reports of a dwelling fire.
“Operations Control mobilised a number of fire engines to Willow Drive, Johnstone, where firefighters extinguished the fire.
“There were no casualties.
“Crews currently remain on the scene with firefighters working to make the area safe.”
