Organisers of a church fete in Elderslie saw their prayers answered as the sun shone down on the annual event.
An array of goods were on offer at Elderslie Kirk, with stalls selling the likes of toys, games, DVDs and CDs.
Proving especially popular this year was a temporary tattoo and glitter station, as well as the much-loved face painting stall.
Sheila Paterson, who teaches Sunday School at the church and helped to organise the event, said: “All of the organisations within the church contributed to what was a brilliant day.
“This year, attendees could purchase a programme of what was on throughout the day, each of which was numbered. We then drew six of the numbers out of a hat and the lucky people received either wine, chocolates or biscuits.
“It was a great way to find out how many people came along to visit us on the day and I was really impressed that about 150 people had attended the fete.”
As people headed outside to enjoy a barbecue, they were also able make the most of the weather by playing games such as beat-the-goalie, organised by the Boys’ Brigade.
Ms Paterson said: “Our minister Donald actually prayed the night before for good weather and it was a lovely day.
“Overall, we raised £1,100, which is brilliant and will go towards church funds.”
