TWO men have been arrested by police investigating the recovery of drugs worth hundreds of thousands of pounds in a Renfrewshire village.

Detectives confirmed today that the two men, aged 26 and 45, have been charged in connection with drugs offences following an operation which took place in Howwood on Thursday, March 15.

Officers recovered an "extensive" number of tablets as they executed a search warrant at a property in Earlshill Drive.

A police spokesperson said: "Two men, aged 26 and 45, are due before Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 29, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
