TWO men have been charged with alleged drugs offences after a major policing operation in Erskine.

Following an extensive intelligence-led investigation in the Mains Hill area, police executed two drug search warrants at two homes.

Four men, aged 54, 29, 27 and 21, and three women, aged 53, 25 and 23, were arrested in relation to the supply of the Class A drug.

Two of the men, aged 27 and 21, have been charged with alleged drug offences and are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.

The five others have been released without charge. The enquiry is still live and ongoing.

Detective Inspector John Stewart, of K Division Serious and Organised Crime Team, said: "We have arrested seven people in relation to the supply of cocaine in the Mainshill area of Erskine.

"Police Scotland are committed to pursuing those who supply drugs within our communities.

"I would like to thank those members of the community who have assisted with this investigation. Without your help, my team could not have brought this operation to a successful conclusion."
