AN invasion of dinosaurs arrived in Paisley at the weekend and so far the iconic exhibition has been a roaring success.

Lego brick monsters have hit the town centre and will be sticking around until Sunday, August 12.

And families enjoyed stepping back to prehistoric times on Saturday with 17 dinosaurs on display on the trail plus two interactive play zones, a selfie zone and a Find the Hidden Dinosaur competition.

Graeme McGowan, chairman of organisers Paisley First, said: “The reaction to the dinosaurs has been fantastic, they really do look amazing and it’s a real eye opener to see how long it takes to build one of these amazing creatures as well as how many bricks are used.

“Already, families are coming from far and wide to enjoy this great, free day out during the school holidays.

“We are also running our Golden Ticket competition with six chances to win £250 town centre gift vouchers throughout the summer.

“This is a great event showcasing everything that Paisley has to offer this summer and help cement the town’s reputation as a visitor destination.”

All of the dinosaurs are situated in local businesses and everyone who completes the trail has a chance to win prizes.
