A MOTORIST was hospitalised after a two car smash on the M8 between Paisley and the Erskine cut off.
Police officers and ambulances were on the scene at the J29 to J30 on the east of the Erskine Bridge heading towards Langbank.
The accident took place on Sunday, September 4 at around 4.30pm.
An eyewitness said: "Around two ambulances past me and I could see kids standing at the side of the road with their parents.
"There were lots of people standing next to cars and lots of blue lights. There were two police cars there too."
An ambulance took one of the passengers to the Inverclyde Hospital however nobody else was reported to have been badly injured in the crash.
A Scottish Ambulance and Rescue spokesman said: "One car went into the back of another during the accident.
"One patient was transported from the scene to Inverclyde hospital at around 4.30pm."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: "We were called to an incident at junction 30 at around 4.30pm.
"There were two cars involved; a man and a woman were seen to by amulance staff."
