COOL customer Mark Hanretty is flying the flag for Renfrewshire once more after returning for the new series of hit TV show Dancing On Ice.

The 32-year-old Erskine man was back on our screens on Sunday, along with his new skating partner, actress Donna Air.

Professional skater Mark, who has represented Great Britain on the international stage, previously starred in the ITV series from 2011 to 2013.

Most memorably, in 2013, viewers watched in horror as he dislocated his shoulder before his ‘survival skate’ with politician Oona King.

Behind the scenes, he had his arm popped back into place and went on to complete the routine – but the pair were still kicked off the show.

Mark said: “I’m hoping this series will lead to me being remembered for something other than dislocating my shoulder live on air. When people hear my name, they remember me as the guy who got injured.

“I’m hoping to create a new memory with the wonderful Donna that doesn’t involve making people feel ill or squirm.”

Other celebrities taking part include Coronation Street stars Brooke Vincent and Anthony Cotton, as well as singers Lemar and Cheryl Baker.

The next episode will be screened at 6pm on Sunday.
