A JOHNSTONE resident had bottles of Prosecco stolen from their property during a robbery.

The victim's garden hut in Willow Drive, which contained the bubbly, was targeted by a thief.

Also included in the haul was a stash of drill heads.

Entry to the shed appears to have been made after the intruder managed to break the lock.

The incident is thought to have taken place between Saturday, July 30 at 3pm and Monday, August 1 at 8pm.

Inspector Cassie Glass said: "We had an unusual report of Prosecco being stolen from a hut in someone's garden.

"A total of 12 bottles were taken along with drill heads.

"The thief managed to break the lock, open the door and make away with the items.

"Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to contact police on 101."
