Alleged breach of peace near Cochrane Castle causes alarm in Johnstone
JOHNSTONE residents were concerned following a disturbance at Cochrane Castle.
Police were called to Burns Drive on Wednesday, August 31 at 3.35pm.
They have confirmed that there was no assault, however a man was arrested with alleged breach of the peace.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed: "We were called to Burns Drive at 3.35pm on Wednesday with reports of a disturbance.
"A 57-year-old man was arrested with alleged breach of the peace.
"He was due to appear yesterday at Paisley Sheriff Court.
"We can confirm that there was no assault."
