‘First alcoholic cakes in Scotland’ hit Johnstone - and you won’t believe the flavours
BOOZY sponge cakes have hit shelves across the city and its surrounding areas today in what is thought to be a first for Scotland.
Baker Rebecca Henderson - who runs Cakes By Rebecca Ltd - made the announcement on her social media pages.
And The Hub Ice-Cream Parlour & Coffee Shop in Johnstone is one of the many outlets to be serving the cakes.
The unique treats, so far, come in WKD Blue flavour and also Strongbow Dark Fruits.
Rebecca has also teased cake-fiends by revealing that prosecco and strawberry and MD 20/20 three-layer flavour cakes are set to be released next week.
The baked goods are available at over 30 stores and personalised cakes are also available to order.
The treats are for those strictly over 18.
