COPS believe a man who died after the van he was driving hit a wall may have taken ill at the wheel.

The 54-year-old, who has not be named by police, was driving a white Ford Transit van on Barochan Road in Johnstone when the vehicle collided with a wall at around 7.50pm on Friday, September 30.

A young child, who was a passenger in the van, was uninjured.
