A CHEQUE for hundreds of pounds hit the right notes with charity Friends of Johnstone Day Centre which will use it to fund a week of musical entertainment.
Johnstone Day Centre provides day care to older people to help them remain in their community and be as independent as possible.
Lindsay Smith, treasurer of the Friends of Johnstone Day Centre and Anna Hampson, manager of the day centre celebrated with users of the care centre this week.
The group proudly showed off the letter from Johnstone Credit Union confirming the grant of £250 which will be used to fund a week of music.
Ms Hampson said: “We are delighted with the funds which will be providing entertainment in January and February next year to those who attend the day centre. It will give them a nice social afternoon so we are very happy with the funds that we received. We’d like to say a big thank you for Johnstone Credit Union for the cash and we are looking forward to our week of music.”
