TEEN DIES ON HOLIDAY
Allan with friend Ashleigh
THE mother of a teenage boy who tragically lost his life on holiday has paid tribute to her son.
Allan Milligan slipped and fell 50-feet from a balcony of an apartment in Spain, witnessed by his best friends last Thursday. The 19-year-old died on impact and his seven pals returned home to comfort his "shattered" mum.
Now devastated Elaine faces the agonising wait for her beloved son"s body to be flown home so she can lay him to rest.
This week, Allan"s mum and friends paid tribute to the Johnstone boy who they say "lived life to the full."
Mum Elaine said: 'He was a brilliant boy.'

A MUM whose teenage son died after falling off a hotel balcony says her life has been "shattered".
Nineteen-year-old Allan Milligan lost his life when he tragically slipped on the balcony of his apartment in Spain last Thursday.
His devastated friends made the journey back to Johnstone and mum Elaine is now waiting for her beloved son"s body to be flown home.
Elaine of Ness Avenue said: 'I took him to the airport for his flight and told him "Have a good time, be good and behave yourself."
'That was the last time I saw him.
'It could be up to 10 days before my boy is back with me.
'I am absolutely heartbroken - my whole life feels like it has been shattered.
'He was such a good son and a hard worker - I can"t believe he"s gone.'
The tiling apprentice was talking up to one of the girls in his group when he lost his balance in the early hours of Thursday night.
His Johnstone High school pals tried to phone the emergency services but sadly there was no hope of Allan being revived after the 50-foot drop.
The group of seven have rallied round Allan"s mum, sister Amanda, 20, and brother Dean, 16.
Life-long friend Colin Willock, also 19, said: 'I am gutted - I"ve known Allan for 15 years since we were at school together.
'It took half an hour for an ambulance to arrive - we even got put through to a Brazilian operator when we were trying to phone for one.
'But there was nothing that they could do.'
The teenagers laid the union flag Allan had been carrying around Playa de Las Americas on the spot where he died as a tribute to his life.
Local Spanish women laid flowers and candles as a mark of respect and Elaine and her fiance Freddy were given it as a memory of her eldest son.
Allan"s friends and family remember him as "always laughing" and a "perfectionist".
Grieving friend Ashleigh McKeown added: 'He was such a poser - always looked his best.
'He even took hair gel to the beach!
'That"s how we remember him - laughing and having a good time and living life to the full.'
Mum Elaine added: 'The kids are being so strong.
'The first thing I wanted to do when I heard what happened was just to give them all a big hug.
'When they came home on the Friday they came into the house and sat down and told me about all their antics.
'I will even remember Allan when I am in my kitchen.
'He did the tiling and was such a perfectionist about it - he was apparently even criticising all the Spanish tiling on holiday.
'He was a brilliant boy - my Wee Barry after his hero Barry Ferguson.'.
