A JOHNSTONE nurse has been accused of stabbing a woman.
38-year-old Patricia Martin was charged and appeared in court in relation to several alleged serious offences.
And she has been held in custody while she awaits trial over the alleged incident.
Martin, of Walnut Crescent, Johnstone, is accused of slapping a 26-year-old woman repeatedly, shutting a car door on her and striking her with a knife to her severe injury.
She is also charged with shouting, swearing, threatening others, breaching the peace and smashing a car windscreen.
The alleged incident happened in Millport, on the Isle of Cumbrae, in April 2009.
The nurse, who was working at Inverclyde Royal Hospital (pictured below) at the time of the allegations, remains on the nursing register.
She denied the charges when she appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week and was remanded until trial later this year.
