A GUTTED Johnstone gran fears she won't see a penny of her £20,000 payout for unfair dismissal.

As reported in the Gazette, hard-up former accounts clerk Margaret Kerr won a £24,000 unfair dismissal case against the Burnthills Group.

She had worked tirelessly for the company before losing her job in February last year, despite having been given assurances by bosses her job was safe.

A Glasgow employment tribunal ruled her former employers had completely failed to give her any warning or proper consulation and awarded her the cash sum.

But the 61-year-old was left in limbo when the cash-strapped firm plunged into administration just weeks later.

And her hopes of a fresh start turned to dust this month when administrators KPMG confirmed she will not receive any of the cash owed to her.
