Skye, a 20-month old Border Collie was given the humorous title by Facebook fans and has won £50 worth of vouchers.
Skye will now go head-to-head with the finalists of seven other categories to be named the Butcher’s Pet Personality of the Year and receive £500.
His owner, Kim Adams, told The Gazette: “Skye is such a cheeky companion and it’s fantastic that she has been voted the nation’s naughtiest pet.” Butcher’s launched the competition on its Facebook page as part of its sponsorship of the hit TV show, You’ve Been Framed!
Pet owners have been invited to enter a photograph or video of their animal in categories which include most energetic or happiest pet through to the naughtiest, friendliest and most adventurous, and the public will be able to vote for their favourite.
Sarah Alexander, head of marketing development at Butcher’s, also commented: “A well-deserved winner which highlights the joy the nation’s pets bring their owners every day. Congratulations Skye!”
