Suzanne Carruthers passed away after taking ill at her home in Howwood Road, Johnstone, yesterday afternoon at around 1.15pm.
The 44-year-old was well-known in the town, having lived there for 15 years providing handmade gifts and personalised accessories for local parents and youngsters.
Yesterday her heartbroken daughter, Aimée Carruthers, spoke of her grief in losing the mum she also described as her “best friend.” Aimée, who has a five-year-old son named Jayden, told The Gazette: “It’s a complete shock to the entire family.
“I have lost my mum and my best friend. I feel as if I’m in a horrible nightmare. No words can describe how broken I am."
More in tomorrow's Gazette.
