Officers on patrol went to the assistance of a broken down vehicle on the A737 near to Barrochan Interchange when they discovered the Class B substance within the vehicle.
The drugs were recovered at around 7.05pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the seizure.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
