The heartbroken brother of a tourist killed in a tragic accident in Thailand as his step daughter from Linwood looked on has paid tribute to his sibling.
Hundreds of mourners gathered to lay Gareth Crowe to rest at a funeral in Dunnon yesterday.
The 36-year-old was on an elephant trek with his 16-year-old step-daughter, Eilidh Hughes, when the animal threw them from its back and killed Gareth.
Mourners said goodbye to Gareth at a memorial service after he was killed on the tropical island of Ko Samui last month.
Eilidh attended the funeral dressed in black after posting a touching tribute on Instagram where she labelled him the 'most important man' in her life.
Addressing mourners, Mr Crowe's brother Michael, 39, said: "Thanks to all of you. In years to come, when I'm asked to describe my brother Gareth, the horrific, horrible story of an elephant won't spring to mind.
"It will be a story of a guy who touched the lives of so many people from growing up here in Dunoon to his career as a merchant diver working all over Scotland."
