CAN you spot yourself in this picture?
Where you one of the many local Linwood children that partied at the disco organised by the police in the 1970s?
Local man Iain Wilson has hundreds of old pictures dating back 40 years and he is wanting to find a good home for them.
Linwood library has agreed to run an exhibition of all the photos and although planning is in the early stages it is hoped the event will be a great success.
Residents are being encouraged to come along and see if they can spot their younger selves and once the event is over they can take the picture home.
All sorts of events have been captured on camera - everything from discos to football teams, school awards to cabaret shows.
Iain hopes people will come along and try and spot themselves.
He said: "People can get a photo that they don't have. Some of the people will be quite elderly - especially some of the adults in their 40s .
"When I came through here I was 40 and I'm now 80 on my next birthday.
"These guys are bound to be 80-85 years-old now."
Iain, who is secretary of Linwood Community Council, acquired the envelope of pictures a few years ago and wasn't sure what to do with them.
Along with his wife Sadie they thought an exhibition would be a nice idea.
He said: "We were going to put them in some shop windows but there isn't any.
"We did think about doing something about it a while ago and it never came to anything - it's just a shame to see them just lying.
"Once they go up and if people see and want it for themselves then can have it - there's no point my family being left with them."
The picture above was taken at a police disco sometime in the 1970s.
It was police policy in those days to organise these events and the community council provided the stewards to help keep everyone safe.
Watch out in the coming weeks for full details of this special blast from past exhibition and more photos.
