Calum Elliot, from Linwood, passed away on Saturday, January 16, surrounded by loved ones at the age of 26.

The football fanatic had amazed family, pals and doctors with his courageous spirit as he fought against an aggressive brain tumour.

But sadly he lost his battle last weekend. On Friday, he was given a colourful send-off as he was buried in a customised saltire coffin, dressed in a kilt and his favourite Scotland football jersey at Broomward Service, in Elderslie.

Hundreds of people turned out for an emotional service beforehand at Linwood Parish Church, with friends and family donning bright colours as a tribute to Calum.

Calum’s family have expressed a heartfelt thanks to staff at St Vincent’s Hospice in Howwood for the care they provided to Calum in his final days.
