A RENFREW resident returned home to discover their top floor flat had been ransacked by intruders.

The Renfield Street property was locked and secured after midnight on Saturday, May 9, and the resident returned home on Thursday, May 12.

It was then they were shocked to discover the front door had been forced open and the flat broken into.

There were items strewn on the floor and the TV stand had been moved but fortunately nothing was taken.

Inspector Stevie Espie said: "If anyone has any information about suspicious looking people or heard banging from the door please get in touch by calling the police on 101."
