COCAINE with a potential street value of £360,000 and £125,000 in cash was recovered in a Renfrew drug bust.

Four men aged 50, 39, 36 and 24 years-old were arrested and detained in connection with alleged drugs offences.

Police officers stopped four vehicles in Glasgow and Renfew on Wednesday, June 8 and during the searches 9kg of cocaine was recovered.

In a separate operation, another vehicle was stopped on Wednesday evening in Glasgow.

Around 58.15kg of cannabis resin was recovered with an estimated potential street value of £125,000.

A 34 year-old man was arrested and detained in connection with alleged drugs offences.

Inspector Joseph O’Neill said: “We will continue to act on any information received to target offenders and show them that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated.

“This was a significant recovery which has reduced the potential harm which could have been caused by these drugs in our communities across Glasgow and Renfrew.
