FEELING the need… the need for speed? Then you’re in luck, as 80s classic Top Gun will be soaring back onto the big screen.

The cult flick will be showing at Odeon Braehead this weekend to mark its 30th anniversary.

Braehead will be screening the iconic film on Sunday, September 4 at 6pm.

And to mark the occasion, Odeon will be offering free tickets for ‘wingmen’ (or ‘wingwomen’) looking to enjoy the classic Tom Cruise film.

Cinemagoers can get in and about 2-4-1 tickets, so no one needs ride the highway to the danger zone on their own.

Anyone looking to get involved can book their tickets via the Odeon website, app, or on the night.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online – with no booking fees – via the website.

Paul Hills, General Manager at Odeon Braehead, said: "We can’t wait for Goose and Maverick to fly on to the big screen again to mark 30 years of one of the most iconic films of all time.

"We certainly haven’t lost that loving feeling for Top Gun, and we hope there’ll be plenty of film fans in the area who will come and enjoy this classic with their own ‘wingmen’."

Directed by Tony Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis and Val Kilmer, Top Gun follows the story of a young, daring fighter pilot called Maverick (Cruise), as he competes against his peers in the United States Navy’s Top Gun Naval Flying School, training to become the very best pilots in the world whilst at times struggling to keep their egos in check.
