HUNDREDS of pounds were raised at a church’s annual fair.

People of all ages flocked to Renfrew Trinity Church for the family-friendly event.

Savvy shoppers were able to check out a variety of stalls offering a host of goodies, including books, toiletries and jewellery.

A plant sale also proved popular with green-fingered visitors.

And there plenty to keep youngsters entertained throughout the day, thanks to a children’s corner, Lego building, nail painting and water-based tattoos.

There were also treats suitable for little purses, with a selection of toys, books and puzzles on sale.

Sandra Jolly, event co-ordinator, told the Gazette: “We had put a lot of work into organising this fundraising event, so were very happy it was so busy.

“It was a great success, with lots to keep little ones and adults occupied.

“The plant sale went down a storm and there was also baby clothes that got snapped up quickly.

“As for the children, they loved getting involved in the ‘guess the bear’s birthday’ competition.

“The selection of home-baking went down a treat and the Scouts were on hand to dish out hot sausage rolls.”

Sandra has thanked all those who helped to organise the church fair, as well as all those who came along on the day.

She added: “The event has raised around £2,500, with more money still to come in, and all funds will go towards church maintenance.”
