OLD Firm football legends raised thousands of pounds for a brave Renfrew toddler who is battling a rare form of cancer.
Three-year-old Layla Greene, of Kirklandneuk, was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma in March, a cancer which is found in less than 100 children in the UK each year.
A #teamlayla fundraiser, organised by John Plott, of Renfrewshire United, saw former Old Firm stars such as Marvin Andrews, Rudi Vata, Bobby Petta and Frank McAvennie return to the pitch for a good cause.
A total of £2,130 was raised through the event.
John said: “It was a great day and we are very happy with the amount we managed to raise.
“The match certainly got a bit heated but it was all for a good cause.
“Our thanks go to everyone who came along and got involved.”
