A MAN was arrested after allegedly being caught with a knife in Renfrew.
It has been claimed that the 34-year-old was found with the weapon near Braehead shopping centre.
The incident is said to have taken place on Tuesday, November 7 at 12.10am on King's Inch Road.
He is due to appear in court this week charged with being in possession of a weapon.
Inspector Cassie Glass, who is based at Johnstone Police Station said: "At around midnight police were called to reports of a man with a knife at a shopping centre in Renfrew.
"Officers attended and a man has been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the incident."
