POLICE have launched an investigation after a shooting took place in Renfrew.
Officers were sent to Kenley Road, near the Soar at intu Braehead leisure complex, to investigate reports of a shot being fired at a window of a flat.
Roads were closed off as police dealt with the incident.
It took place at around 11.50pm last night and police have said "extensive" enquiries are continuing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "No-one was injured, however officers believe that this address was the intended target.
"They are following a number of lines of enquiry in relation to this incident.
"Uniform and plain clothes patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the local community.
"Anyone with information that will assist the ongoing investigation, in particular if you saw anyone acting suspiciously or any vehicles driving off at speed, should contact the Major Investigation Team through 101, quoting reference number 4029 of November 23."
