A COURAGEOUS toddler who was fighting a rare form of cancer has lost her fight, days after her family launched a memories list for her.
Three-year-old Layla Greene had been battling an aggressive form of the disease known as neuroblastoma.
Despite undergoing a stem cell transplant and chemotherapy, the Renfrew tot’s condition began to worsen.
Now the family have told how Layla sadly passed away before she could fulfil her dreams.
In a Facebook post, Louise Cunningham, Layla’s mum, wrote: “Last night at 9.16pm my beaitiful angel closed her eyes for the last time.
"By god she put up one hell of a fight but she was just so tired and was her time to be free from pain and now the most beautiful angel in the sky.
"Thank u so much for all messages.
"Mummy loves you all the world and more you were my everything."
The family had made a ‘fun memories’ list for Layla, containing various activities that aimed to bring a smile to her face.
Last month, they set up a JustGiving page, with the hope of raising £10,000 for Layla’s wishes, such as a helicopter trip, motorbike ride and princess party.
